I love teaching Kindergarten at St. Anne School because of the children.  I look forward to getting up and coming to school each morning.  I do not know what my days would be like if they did not involve children.  Their smiling faces and gentle pokes (and sometimes not so gentle) keep me smiling, too.  I think Kindergarten is a step to loving school.  I have two goals for my students – learn self-control and have such a good time that they can hardly wait to get to first grade.

walser.gifGrade 1A - Leigh Walser/Kim Reiser

I love teaching at St. Anne Catholic School because I can teach about faith -- faith in God, themselves and others.  By providing students with high academic standards and faith, we can prepare them for life.

garahan.gifGrade 1B - Sue Garahan/Beverly Foundos

I love teaching at St. Anne Catholic School because of the support of the faculty, staff, and parents. I am glad to have the opportunity to share my faith with my students.

hinton.gifGrade 2A - Diane Hinton

What I love most about teaching at St. Anne School is the community.  Parents, teachers and staff share a common intention, quality education in a faith-filled atmosphere.  As a product of twelve years of Catholic schools, I want each and every child who walks through our doors to have the same experience I had. I was well prepared for higher education and my spirituality was nourished by those who lived the faith. The St. Anne School Community works together to accomplish that.

Mrs. Pellett is St. Anne School’s newest 3rd grade teacher! She received her teaching degree at Belmont Abbey College and has been teaching for 2 years.  Mrs. Pellet is from Charlotte, North Carolina and loves to work on her house when she is not busy creating her lessons and teaching. Mrs. Pellett loves teaching third grade because every day is different and 3rd grade students are so enthusiastic about learning.  She loves teaching at St. Anne School because the St. Anne Community is welcoming and helpful.  Her job is easier with such great students and fellow faculty and staff.

What I love most about working at St. Anne Catholic School is that I am a member of a great TEAM.  Teachers, parents and students work together to make St. Anne the great school it is.  I am proud to be working on this team.

gagnon.gifGrade 4A - Martha Gagnon

Teaching religion has been good for me spiritually.  I have grown in my faith, and I love this environment.  It is also nice to have colleagues who help one another solve problems together.  The parents are very supportive of the teachers and quite involved in their children’s education.

vawter.gifGrade 4B - Jennifer Vawter

I am originally from Indiana where I taught for 3 years, 2 years in a Catholic school.  My family and I moved to Rock Hill in 2002.  I taught in a Charlotte public school for the last 3 years.  This is my first year at St. Anne School, and I am so excited to be back in Catholic Education.  I love teaching here.  I have never felt such a family atmosphere in a school.  I have received help from the parents and staff in my adjustment to a new school.  Third grade is my favorite grade to teach, because the students are learning independence and they love to learn.  My favorite part about teaching at St. Anne School is that I get to teach children about God and how God is so important to a child's success.

lollis.gifGrade 5A - Mary Lollis

Each day, teaching at St. Anne is truly a blessed experience.  The inviting community of St. Anne students, teachers, and parents fosters a nurturing environment.  Fifth grade students are extremely eager to face new challenges and display their creativity through projects, presentations and writing assignments.

judge.gifGrade 8 - Christina Judge

I love teaching history to middle school students because they become very intrigued by the larger world and have great curiosity about why the world is the way it is today.  I love teaching religion to eighth grade students because they have a beautiful faith relationship with God.  It is a gift to be able to share that relationship with them and to help them nurture it.  I love working at St. Anne Catholic School because there is such a strong sense of community.  We really see ourselves as part of a large family in which we share good times and bad, smiles and tears, failures and successes.

gantzer.gif6th & 8th English - Gretchen Gantzer

I love teaching English at St. Anne School because God has provided me with a loving environment to repay Him with my time and talent.  My students return to me so much dedication and energy that I feel privileged to be able to encourage them to meet their potential in language arts.

leslie.gif7th Math/Algebra - Lori Leslie

I love teaching at St. Anne Catholic School because the students are a joy.  The classes are small enough to give each student individual attention.  It is a safe place to teach and to learn.

What I love most about teaching at St. Anne Catholic School is that I get to work with enthusiastic students. What teaching job could be better than one that allows you the opportunity to share your love with those who are willing and eager to learn! Teaching computers to St. Anne students over the past five years has proven to be a wonderful endeavor.

gantzer.gifLibrary - Gretchen Gantzer

Teaching library skills at St. Anne School is a mission of love.  The support of the administration, faculty and parents make the success of our library a continuing pleasure.  Introducing students to books and reading is a blessed vocation.

irmiter.gifMusic - Kay Irmiter

I love teaching Music at St. Anne Catholic School because everyday I have the privilege of using my faith and my love of music to impact the lives of children.  What I love most about working at St. Anne Catholic School is seeing the children succeed and grow from K-4's who "experience" music into Middle Schoolers who perform music.  Watching a child learn to read music and then grow in confidence as they become performers is very rewarding.

fridie.gifPhysical Ed - Byron Fridie

I love teaching physical education at St. Anne Catholic School because of the warm, family-oriented atmosphere and the feeling I get when the students come running to class and leaving with a smile.
