Welcome to the wonderful world of Second Grade!

Please help make your child's transition into Second Grade a pleasant one. LABEL ALL the supplies, sweaters, jackets, uniforms, lunch boxes, etc. for your child. Many children panic at the thought of not getting their possessions back. Together we can prevent that undue anxiety.

Listed below are the supplies your child will need for the beginning of school.

1 4 oz. Bottle of white glue

1 Glue Stick (large)

1 12" Plain (no designs) School Ruler-in/cm

1 Dry Erase Pen (black)

2 Pencils

2 sturdy folders with pockets (fashion folders work best)

CRAYONS: (24 count maximum) regular or twist-up.

extra erasers

red ball point pen

coloring book or activity book (rainy day recess)

zippered pencil case (NO BOXES as they do not fit in desks)

scissors

Art Shirt (used shirt from home in Ziploc bag)

Please do not allow your child to bring notebooks, colored markers, novelty erasers, staplers, or large boxes of crayons.

You may want to stock up on Clear Contact Paper for covering soft back books and brown paper or book covers for textbooks. Each child will also need a book bag (the kind you wear over your shoulder and on your back - no wheels).
