Academics

St. Anne Catholic School is committed to providing a rigorous, student-centered, and inclusive environment.  With Christ present at all times, our students become expert learners who are purposeful and motivated, resourceful and knowledgeable, and strategic and goal oriented about learning. Our students connect Science, Tech, Religion, Arts, Math and Literacy to bring creativity to life and embrace passion with a purpose.

At the core of Catholic education are the beliefs and teachings of the church. The school communities in the Diocese of Charleston are steeped in Catholic culture, rooted in Gospel values and centered on the Eucharist. Teachers and school administrators from across the Diocese come together annually to review, update, and restructure the academically rigorous standards which are written to set expectations for all students in the Diocese of Charleston. Each school in the Diocese is unique and although we all follow the same set of standards, each school is able to tailor curriculum, “how the students are taught,”  based on the individual needs of the students. The St. Anne faculty works collaboratively to contribute wisdom, knowledge, and experience to implement a consistent, challenging, and experiential curriculum. Keeping “the end in mind” our teachers create learning environments  based on the Universal Design for Learning, a framework that offers teaching and learning tools for all children based on how humans learn.

St. Anne Catholic School is accredited by and meets the standards of the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools (SACS).  In 2016, St. Anne School received a perfect score on the SACS Internal Review.
