Athletics
The St. Anne School Athletic Program dedicates itself to the pursuit of excellence in athletics within the framework of a Catholic community and in accordance with its primary role as an educator and spiritual guide. The athletics program is committed to providing opportunities for each individual student-athlete to reach his/her highest potential while developing the qualities and spirit of a Catholic Christian.
The St. Anne Athletic Program is a co-ed program consisting of a variety of sports. On a yearly basis nearly eighty percent (80%) of St. Anne students take part in at least one sport. The Athletic Program is an integral part of the St. Anne community and student life.
Each sport offered provides an atmosphere for students to set goals, to be successful and to develop and improve skills. Positive experiences give the student a chance to learn values such as fair play, teamwork and leadership. Working to win is important but should not be stressed to the point that the program is judged successful or not.
The Athletic Program offers participants and spectators an opportunity to learn outside the world of the classroom. Being an athlete is a privilege that carries with it responsibilities to the school, team, student body and their family. Such experiences add to the development of our students to help prepare them for adulthood as Catholic Christians in an ever changing society.
“Do you not know that the runners in the stadium all run in the race, but only one wins the prize? Run so as to win. Every athlete exercises discipline in every way. They do it to win a perishable crown, but we an imperishable one.”
Corinthians 9:24-25
